Good game 2-0. We looked good some good prospects on display tonight. Was particularly impressed by Jordan Richards at right back-all over the pitch-some intelligent touches. Greg Rutherford, 2 great headers and solid keeping from Liam Mooney.
All round a good team game-if anything Luscombe and Boyd looked less impresssive than the young lads-Cooper was there-wouldn't be surprised to see a couple of the resssies on the roster on Saturday.

Boro were poor-relied on Main who has pace but were all over the place-hadn't realised Agnew and Colin Cooper were there till they got out of the dugout at the end!!

Boydie was excellent last nite, his control, passing and link up play was flawless and he received a warm round of applause when he went off, yes the youngsters played very well and the current crop are an exciting bunch but to say he was less impressive than them is silly to be fair!

Who knows? Weve already established that Boyd was both excellent AND shite at the same time, so maybe Luscombe is both fat and thin?

I actually thought Luscombe did look slightly slimmer, but then again he may have worn a bigger shirt

Boyd played well. I'm baffled as to how anyone who was there could say different. He wasn't dazzling, but he was tidy, controlled the ball well, held it up well, brought others into play, and a couple of bits of vision/skill that were beyond anyone else on display.

It's Adam Boyd of course.
No matter how well he plays, he's rubbish, lazy, can't be arsed, not interested, bad attitude etc etc.

Forget the fact he's the most skilful player and best goalscorer at the club.
The vast majority of Pools fans wouldn't know a footballer if he was nailed to their forehead. As long as he 'gives 100%' and runs around like a headless chicken for 90 minutes, he'll do for Pools. Forget the fact he might not be able to pass more than 5 yards, make his own space, score goals or even remotely resemble a pro footy player, if he's a workhorse, he's Messi

My mate went and thought Boyd looked a class act.

I went to the match and thought boydy held the ball up well and looked steady nothing more nothing less. He played one pass with the outside of his foot to the trialist jack Clark which was sublime. Jack looked a good player left footed but playing on the right was skilful. Jordan Richards played well as did the 2centre halfs buddle and Johnson.

So which players does that apply to? Who do most Pools fans think are Lionel Messi's because they put in 100%. I think you're mistaking most Pools fans - myself included - believing that 100% is the minumum one should expect from a professional footballer, not an admirable trait.

He should stand out in a reserve game though, given his experience etc, most of the other players would be under 20 and still learning the game, perhaps that`s what is meant sctatchinghead

Since he's come back to Pools Boydy has scored from open place approximately once ever 400 minutes. With a record like that I'd hate to see someone who was shite infront of goal.

Boydy is a great finisher. Sadly, he has lost at least a yard of pace. As the game gets quicker almost week by week, this just becomes more blindingly obvious week by week.
