I once bought a sausage roll and a pint at another ground, I even paid to park at Oldham.

I'll withdraw my support formally next week.

Budweiser sponsor the FA cup, and we're not in it. I'm never going to a pub that sells bud again.

Mmmm interesting comments.

I am sure KH would put a £20k donation by the Northern Echo to very good use at Pools.

The local newspaper must remain impartial. Surely?

The Northern Echo is as local to usas the Sunday Sun or the Evening Gazette.

TBH It has always been a Darlow paper ..its produced there by the same people as the Stockton and Darlington Times ..

They just humour us to try and increase the circulation

I pay subs every week on a sunday morning. Guess that means my support for Pools has been withdrawn

Nah, don't do non-league stuff mate. Try Cleator Moor Celtic or West Allotment.

Ok, I'll bite!

It's a business, I know of a at least 2 Pools season ticket holders who regularly pay for hospitality and sponsorship packages at other clubs to entertain clients and as an addition to advertising (plus a day out is better than paying the tax man)

We were helpless though weren't we and never had the money to take over. At least Raj Singh left us with relatively little debt to pay off (apart from what he is owed and reckons he doesn't want back), so really this is the first time we've had chance to seize control of our club, so of course people are becoming more interested.

The Northern Echo first and foremost is a Darlington paper.

What sort of coverage do we get in the Hartlepool Mail? I wouldn't be whinging if the H M made a donation to Pools, neither would I be thinking "they could have chucked a couple of quid our way as well" either.

Surely you can see he is on the wind up. I honestly wouldn't give two farts if the Mail bought some Darlo shares, if they started leading with Darlo stories on our back page then I'd be annoyed.

For a predominantly Darlo paper we seem to get decent coverage in the Echo, suprisingly decent when its a nightmare to find a copy of the paper when you want one in town.

Looks like the sales of Darlo shares have ground to a halt around the £300k mark. I just don't think it's going to happen.

They need apparently on average over £2,200 per day for the next 2 months just to get to the £500k mark

One of them put in the thread:

Remove a couple of U's, add a couple of E's and he's spot on.
