Close your eyes....

Imagine you are in a garden. It's big, quite wild, and there's nobody else here. The sun is shining on a glorious summer's day.

At first you think it is silent. But as your ears adjust to the tranquility, you begin to hear sounds.

The breeze, gently rustling leaves on the trees.
The birds, distant but just audible as they sing a song of summer.
And, just at the very edge of hearing, a stream.

Slowly you cast your eyes to and fro. Slowly, because here there is no time and all the time. What do you see? Think of it, enjoying the sights of nature only just tamed.

Of course, none of us have forever. But this garden does, and although we must soon re-enter the busy-ness of our world, we know that this place will always be here, timeless, and only a thought away.....

*rustle of undergrowth*
