Been there quite a few times, like all these things, it depends what you're looking for ..... we went for the boats, just a pleasant backwater.... mind you, we always went in the summer.

Had a great day there, went along the front and into all the pubs and then to the company shed a little shack on the front serving fresh sea food. Got 12 oysters, a seafood platter and some scollops all for £20.00

Best thing is you can take you own booze in and crusty bread. After the five pints along the front and sharing 3 bottles of cava the bus ride back to Colchester was a bit fuzzy. Then we went into town to see the band my mate has booked for his wedding. Cracking weekend and there was a lot of eye candy out who were mostly Yanks got talking to a load who were doing a Human rights degree at University of Essex (didnt know they did such a thing)
