Can anyone think of any possible reason for this email ?All I can think of is if I reply they will ask me for an admin fee or bank details.
Any other ideas ?

From: Lady Maria Foreman,
Brookscroft House 19
Second Avenue London,
E17 9QH United Kingdom

Here writes Lady Maria Foreman, suffering from cancerous ailment. I am married to Engineer Alex Foreman an Englishman who is dead. My husband was into private practice all his life before his death. Our life together as man and wife lasted for three decades without child. My husband died after a protracted illness. My husband and I made a vow to uplift the down-trodden and the less-privileged individuals as he had passion for persons who can not help themselves due to physical disability or financial predicament. I can adduce this to the fact that he needed a Child from this relationship, which never came.

When my late husband was alive he deposited the sum of 4.8 Million Great Britain Pounds Sterling which were derived from his vast estates and investment in capital market with his bank here in UK. Presently, this money is still with the Bank. Recently,my Doctor told me that I have limited days to live due to the cancer problems I am suffering from. Though what bothers me most is the stroke that I have in addition to the cancer. With this hard reality that has befallen my family, and myself,I have decided to donate this fund to you and want you to use this gift which comes from my husbands effort to fund the upkeep of widows, widowers, orphans, destitute, the down- trodden, physically challenged children, barren-women and persons who prove to be genuinely handicapped financially.

It is often said that blessed is the hand that gives. I took this decision because I do not have any child that will inherit this money and my husband relatives are bourgeois and very wealthy persons and I do not want my husband’s hard earned money to be misused or invested into ill perceived ventures.

Please assure me that you will act just as I have stated herein. Hope to hear from you soon and God bless you and members of your family.

You can contact me through my private email address:

I got a similar e:mail at the beginning of the month. Except mine came from a Mrs Rita Osborne, and she left me 8 million!! At least 'hers' was written in coherent English. Her poor husband had 'worked as an adviser to the Prime Minister of England', and was murdered by 'unknown assailants last year in Wales' stupid

Nobody has fallen for anything, just curious wether or not anyone knows what the con actually is.My guess is that if I replied they would either ask for bank details or an admin fee.
Not all people who fall for these scams deserve it.Theres a guy on another board that I use who has aspergers syndrome who did fall for a similar scam to this, fortunately he told someone before he sent his reply so no harm was done. That guy doesnt have the mental capacity to realise its a con but that doesnt mean he deserves to be ripped off.

I agree, theres greedy feckers that deserve it,but there are some people out there that are just too dim to know whats happening.
PP,didnt think of the virus thing,I still reckon its more likely to be a cash con though.

I've got one going with someone in Nigeria at the moment, reckons he's a barrister, I'm trying to get his bank details out of him while all the time saying 'WOW, all that money out of nowhere eh?? AMAZING.........."

I've got him sweating like a rapist, he thinks I'm going to cough my bank account number any moment!! Great fun.

Go and read about Aspergers, Katcha, and think: you'll know why you look a pillock. Sometimes it's just best to keep your head down after making a mistake.

Even with official logos its a scam Paypal,Ebay etc will never ask you to verify your account like that.
Never click a link in an email & log into accounts, its known as phishing & is an attempt to steal your passwords.

For those that use ebay, I got an email about a disputed item. I haven't bought anything off there for months but the memeber I am supposed to have a dispute with does exist. So be careful. It wants you to log into to your ebay and to be honest it is very genuine looking with the proper logo etc
