This game was amazing as Pools produced some stunning football to brush aside leaders Walsall. Even after Walsall took the lead through a very early goal the players never let their heads drop and the fans just kept on singing creating an incredible atmosphere.

After half time Pools were soon back on level terms when Mickey Nelson planted a header firmly into the back of the net. The pressure from then on was intense and although Walsall missed an open goal you always sensed it would be Pools to get the winning goal.
