4-5-1

Worked well earlier in the season, not sure about starting with no strikers though.

2 on the bench though.

I reckon it's looking like this:

Flinders,
Austin, Collins, Hartley, Horwood,
Sweeney, Liddle, Baldwin, Murray, Monkhouse,
Humphreys

Maybe Monkhouse and Humphreys swapped over.

Just read on the official site and we're playing 4-3-3

With 3 midfielders up front!!!

surely it would have made more sense to plump with boydy.

i'll give it a chance mr barron but i think it's well crazy to start a game with no striker on the pitch.

Looks like as good a reason as any why Jedward should not have been given the job.

Barron rang Danny Wilson for advice on this one.

Richie's last appearance in a Pools shirt?
Surely Cooper has enough about him to know when a player is a long way past league one standard?

So he decides to play three up front but leaves Boyd, Brown and Solano on the bench along with Larkin and Hassan nowhere.

It's an old mates job. Barron knows that Humphreys was always a Sheff Weds fan and wanted to play in this one. They've got nothing to lose because the job opportunity has gone.

i know, let's really go overboard with the petulant conspiracy shit and say that barron did it just to piss mr I off in the hope that his overinflated sense of self-importance finally makes him combust.

i'd buy that any day of the week.

Either way, if, as it shiuld be, is his last appearance for Pools, I hope he makes it a good one.
But please now step back and let us have a team made up of the best players for the formation... Which means at least using one striker!

Strange game this we haven't really been dominated yet are 3-0 down, they've not had sustained pressure. What they are is exactlywhat we aren't sharp in the final third. They have Ched Evans we have two 30+ left midfielders. Monkhouse will never be a centre forward as long as he has a hole in his arse, he roams allover he is rarely actually in a position a striker should be.
