I have just nearly crashed into the back of a police van.

The reason : The police woman driver pulled over suddenly with no signal. When I managed to squeexe through the narrow gap she had left, She was SENDING A TEXT ON HER MOBILE PHONE!!!!

Now, this happened on a private road (Not owned by the police) Is this still illegal? rage

Shame you didnt get their number, reported them and made a fuss in the local paper

I thought the council owned and maintained the road?....the police just enforce the rules as laid down by the gov?

a bobby stopped me about fifteen years ago in Shrewsbury Street because one of my brake lights was out, but he didn't issue me with a ticket/producer when I pointed out one of his front headlamps wasn't working either!!!! He wasn't happy, "we'll let it go this time," or words to that effect...........
