Managed to get hold of 4 tickets for his gig in Newcastle Feb 23rd....... £51.50 a ticket like!!! Only paid £45 last time and that was to see Oasis, Kasabian and Reverend and the Makers in Heaton Park!!

May be a fool for paying so much but definately worth it!

The way established acts are charging for tickets, ive just sort of decided to go and see up and coming acts and discovering new music. I paid £12 to go and see Miles Kane at the Empire the other week and personally his solo album is probably better than Noel Gallaghers. The same goes for Kasabian. I mean they're a decent live outfit, but they're not exactly breaking new ground. It just seems that ticket prices are going up and up for acts, who really are like dinosaurs. I can understand the excitement about the Stone Roses, but Noels solo album is just a plodding middle of the road thing. Just my opinion.

Noel gallaghers music is ok if its still 1996.

All his songs sound like the b sides to oasis singles, not bad but a bit dated.

Yes, but chaps and chapesses like you are a rare breed!

When Mutley said on that other thread that he spent 50 snodgers on cd's I thought "wow, not many people do that anymore.."

Fair play to Muttley. People like him, you. ECG and Groovy keep music alive. The rest are murderers.

From what I have heard from the Noel Gallagher, his music makes a refreshing change from Oasis. I was quite impressed.

you need to open your mind young man. You need to move on from the pop music of the 80's you love and crave,

I went the Sunday. The gig went smoothly all though I did get a few pints of piss thrown over me. The enemy supported with kasabian and twisted wheel on that night. I hope the eventually finished rock n roll star off it's one of the best.

Miles Kane is fantastic. Saw him at the beginning of the year as a supporting act, and he was quality then. Inhaler is one of my favourite songs of the year.

The enemy are brilliant live, it's about time they had a tour. Think they've got a new album on the way, hopefully they'll tour after that.

Couldn't get tickets for Arctic Monkeys or the Vaccines! Going to see Kasabian in December can't wait!

Its odd how many kids like a 44 year old man like Noel Gallagher who writes so much middle of the road music. I think we're due a genuine anti establishment band like a Nirvana to break through. These things tend to happen in cycles.

The music industry spent 25 years stealing money off me for overpriced items.. (how many cd's cost over £15 now) .. Now its payback time.. hoist the Jolly Roger!

( music piracy is a crime which would never condone esp. if I was a multinational that made a fortune selling it!)

I must be getting old and boring cos I quite like The Vaccines and Noel Gallaghers new song.

Tell you what mind price to see live acts nowadays is mad!
I remember going to see Radiohead in 94 and it cost £4!
Also remember going to see The Wannadies for about a fiver and found about £8 in change on the floor.
I broke 3 fingers picking it up mind but thats showbusiness.

Saw The Vaccines at the Westgarth Social Club in Middlesbrough, about last November I think. They were excellent, especially with it being in such a small venue.
