Me, Ginger Poolie may or may not be coming but I'm gonna go down on my own if needs be.

Where and when is the pre-match pint organised for?

Don't you have to get a permit to move a wide load like the Ginge down the Motorway?

Going on the train!

Hopefully I'll see a repeat of the 4-1 thrashing we gave Grimsby the last time I got the train to a game, minus their 1 of course.

I'm going from London on the train - the only problem is Central trains who go from Grantham to Boston are on strike on Saturday. There may be some trains on but they haven't put details on their website yet.

I'll be there regardless.

Seriously?

It doesn't say anything about it on nationalrail.co.uk

one of the regulars in the 'Cutter said this, and he uses the trains all the time. National Rail Enquiries website might be worthwhile checking out. Apparently it's buses to Boston from Grantham, across those shoity back roads.

It's probably about the same from Grantham to Boston on the bus or train, about an hour.

Alternative for a pre match pint is the Coach and Horses, tiny little pub at the end of York Street, was packed with poolies last time round.

If you do get there by train, the eagle on the way from the station to the ground is worth a look in, usually allright for a quick beer

Great stuff, I'll remember the Hugh Cornwell book. This could be the begining of the Poolie Bunker lending library. Nothing mucky like, although having said that I'm reading Tracy Emin's book (it was a Christmas present) and that is a bit mucky.
