Post subject: Tyne Tees sports presenters

Just watched Tyne Tees Tonight. The reporter (forget his name but he's a young lad with black hair) said: "Darlington did Hartlepool a favour by taking points off Swindon, who are one of five teams chasing TWO automatic spots." Now that piece was recorded, it wasn't live, how can you get that wrong as a sports reporters? If it's not the Premiership, they don't care. If that Andy lad (who was in the studio) had owt about him, he would have corrected his colleague but he's too interested in being a posing twat. Bunch of morons rage

It has never been the same since "The Back Page" with Roger Tames and the dark haired chunky fella with the funny accent. He also looked like he wore a wig, what was his name??

Every lower league team got at least ten minutes every Sunday and when we went up in the 1990/91 season the programme was more or less dedicated to us (with a bit on the mackems going down that year too). I remember Alan Murray's beaming face on the show while he was being interviewed as if it was yesterday! In fact I had it on tape for about 12 years until our kid taped over it.

Now we get about 5 seconds on the Championship. confised

Yes it was Mr Wood, and I had the misfortune of seeing his ugly ush beaming down on me driving home from work, as the tool works for Yorkshire TV and he features in all there news adverts
