If you set off now, you MIGHT just make it for kick off

i live about 15 minutes walk from the Loids ground and their is definitely places to park which are much nearer than half an hour away-your best bet is parking in one of the streets off Neasham RD but not Geneva RD as its permit holders only.
be about ten minutes walk max

on your right hand side off neasham road is a run of streets all named after places in the lake district -windermere langdale that sort of thing-you can park in any of them bout 5-10 minutes from the "arena"

I know its a fart on changing at Thornaby etc but I'd sooner walk along a main road for 10 minutes than have a 30 minute walk to the Darlo town centre from the stadium. Plus you don't have to worry about the safety of your car and you can have a few jars.....

Surely it's about a half-hour walk from the Arena to the station as well confised

Not at all, you just leave by the main exit of the trainstation rather than going out past hogans and walk in the opposite direction of the town centre along neasham road. It is probably no further than walking from the train station to feethams away end but there are a lot less pubs, only 2 if I remember rightly......

there's a pedestrian bridge in darlo station that brings you out a wee bit up neasham rd cutting a good 10 mins off journey.
