The bloke wants locking up. I'm not averse to tazzing around on a bike - in fact I've got a picture somewhere of my GPS recording 176mph which was in Holland - but it has to be in an appropriate area, anyone on a bike or car/van who does 100 in a built up area deserves to go to jail.

Give him a taste of his own medicine.
Stick him in the central reservation of a busy (but not congested) motorway miles from the nearest exit and say now get out of that you fookah.

See I *can* be nasty with criminals when I want ;)

I don't understand it, I know some seriously classy bikers who can throw a bike around at professional level and when we are out for a blast we do achieve some crazy speeds. The thing is that going balls out in town is dangerous to kids / pedestrians and also very dangerous to the rider. Car drivers spend far too long on auto pilot and you have to ride on the assumption that they will always do the unexpected - they usually do!

A canny comment from this bloke....

Very dangerous and a really bad example to all. The police should take him and his bike down to the nearest crusher and make him press the start button. He should then pay all costs and a penalty on top. Now that WOULD be a good video to watch!

Alright I'll play Devils Advocate here.

No one got hurt. No-one nearly got hurt.

Yes I accept that it's a stupid and reckless thing to do, but no-one got hurt. The outrage is all at what MIGHT have happened but nothing did. In the circumstances the next thing that MIGHT have happened is that he killed himself. Or seriously hurt himself. One's a solution the other is a salutory lesson in what happens when you act like a div. And before everyone jumps out about 'treatment at the taxpayers expense in our hard pressed hospitals' he's a taxpayer and he's entitled. Same as someone who electrocutes himself while DiY-ing to save a bit of scratch.

Now, maybe the jails are full of people who nearly sinned?? The people who took the risk?? Maybe the laws are all about what might happen instead of what did. There's a crime called 'causing death by dangerous driving' but the best they'll be able to do here is 'reckless driving.' When you run across the road dodging the traffic to make the bus, should you be done for 'reckless walking??'

All I'm saying like is 'nothing happened.'

I stopped for Dinner at Highbridge, next to Burnham-on-Sea on Sunday!!! I never spotted any motorcyclists doing wheelies though.
