After watching and listening to the managers of both Reading & Man Utd talking about their FA Cup tie yesterday it got me thinking on how the FA(If it had any balls to do it) could stop these so called elite clubs from fielding weakened teams in cup competitions because obviously fining these millionaire clubs has no effect at all.
How about (gods knows how you would police it )but stating that eligible/fit players who haven't played in 90% of the competition can't play in the final as it appears that the big guns only get interested in the semis/final.
What do you reckon discuss

they will find some way round it the F A are geared up to support the gravy train
THE LAUGHING JACK ASS in charge of the England team is now hoping this plan to do away with replays will aid him
if he stays in the job

I like the idea of them playing weakened teams. Gives the underdogs the chance to knock them out of competitions and it serves them right for being too smug!

But I do think if they do it at home they should have to cut the price of their tickets, it's not fair to charge the same to see household names as it is a bunch of "whos??)

what is the point of putting a useless Brit in charge?

The public wanted Martin O'Neill. Other than his mother, I know of no person alive or dead that wanted McLaren.

O'Neill isnt English though is he (well not in the truest sense of the word!) so when it all goes a wee bit Pete Tong, the press will hound him out and the Sun reading tools will join in

Bring back Sven

I suspect part of the O'Neill think was whether he wanted it, and I suspect that he doesn't. For starters he's NI, secondly he's smart enough to know that it's a hiding to nothing job.

Expectations on England tend to get built up too high (by the media more than the fans) which means anything less than winning the tournament is seen as a sort of failure. This fails to take into account that we have won precisely one international tournament of the top rank, on home turf to boot. Playing well we're probably just about worthy of being a top 10 in the World side. Therefore getting beyond the quarters in World or Euro is a big achievement. Say that to the press if you're in charge though and they'll crucify you.....

Not convinced by McLaren, but after the hammering Sven got (with some reason admittedly) we were never going to get a Scolari or similar - and at the moment there's no clear outstanding English manager. I'd have liked to have seen Curbishley given a go though, I reckon that he's the sort that could work well in International Management given he showed at Charlton that he knows how to get the best out of a group of players through coaching and tactics....

How about any team found in persistent contempt of the spirit of the FA Cup forfeits their bye straight into round three. Let's see them get round that one.
Yes I know Manyoo Arsepool would throw their dummies out.
To which I say please, please, do so and welcome to the board out of our sight for good.

Scolari accepted the job but only if the FA wouldn't let it be known before the World Cup started so as not to undermine his Portugal side!!!!
The FA wanted to tell the world's press that he accepted and wouldn't relent so Scolari tells them to piss off....and rightly so!!!!
So we end up with McLaren!!!!
