When is someone going to drill it ito their thick fookin heads that the whole purpose of football is not to keep the bastad primadonnaship whingers happy.
In our Cardiff season we played more games than any premiershite side and FAR more than most, and with only a fraction of their resources. Did anyone hear a single voice of complaint?

And how about this:
Reading boss Steve Coppell says "Big teams don't want an extra game in the calendar because as the season draws to an end their priority has to be Europe and winning the Premiership. I can see their point of view because an extra fixture makes demands of the squad.
But the big four teams have such massive squads they loan a lot of players out. Maybe in future they shouldn't loan so many players out.

Go ahead Arsehole take EVEN MORE talent out of the regular game playing pool!

Graham Taylor blasted Roeder's comments big style on the radio today. He was really wound up about it, he's from the old school and has seen football at all levels and is best-placed to comment on this, rather than Roeder. Big up to Graham Taylor after that

I wish these morons would stop messing with the FACup. I suggest if Arsehole wenger doesn't want replays, he fields a stronger side first time out. French fookin asshole  rage  rage  rage

Hows about ask the teams if they want replays & in the event of a draw those who dont want replays are eliminated from the competition.
Add to that,if a premiershit side draws with a lower league side & dont want a replay they must pay the lower side the estimated income from that replay.

I just hate how the once glorious FA Cup has been eroded to irrelevance over the years by a combination of the media and euro-obsessed clubs. Remember the days when you could spend virtually a full Saturday visiting the players at their hotel, the pen pictures of every player and even the teams coach trips to Wembley...alas, all gone to be replaced by the 'experts'....

The greed of the premiership has destroyed what was the greatest cup competition in the world

The "big clubs" now keep talking about breaking away into a "european super league" - that will be good for their fans, Man U away at Milan, great for the travelling fans banghead banghead banghead

They make me SICK

THEY'LL KILL THE GAME...for us. Like all big 'retailers' they're only interested in cornering the market for the game on their terms and the gullible football 'consumers' (they're not fans or supporters) who spend their money to join the franchise, will ensure they succeed.

I really hope they do.

Firstly, the league title will be within the grasp of the smaller clubs who can't afford to spend at least 50 million a season.

Secondly, if they do form a league, have they not realised that someone has to finish bottom of it, and only one of them can win the title? That's right, all these top money sides in a league of say 18 teams, and one of them has got to come last. Can you imagine if it's Man U or Arsenal, how would their fans react to seeing them lose more games than they win?

Leave them to it I say. Let them join a Euro league on the condition that they can NEVER take part in English leagues or cups EVER again. After a couple of years the Euro thing will go tits up, and suddenly Old Trafford and Stamford Bridge will be sold for housing. In the meantime local clubs will go from strength to strength.

In fact, I think we should start a campaign to get this Euro league started. Get rid of all the greedy gets and football will get its spirit back.

When winning the FA Cup meant automatic entry into the European Cup Winners Cup and this was a prestigous competition the cup had a higher profile. Over exposure of the champions league has spoilt all of that now.
I've always wanted one of the smaller broadcasters e.g. Channel 4 to champion lower league football - usually less predictable and more exciting than the top division. Yes, it may be less skilful but it is also less cynical and for me greater entertainment.
It's all about the media, marketing and greed of the big clubs. Clubs that complain about the congested fixture list and then go off mid-season to play a lucrative friendly with their squad of over 60 professionals.
I hope that given time people will get bored of the top few clubs dominating and drift away to smaller clubs - this is difficult though bearing in mind the media activity surrounding these clubs.

Problem is there is no money in televising lower league football - it broke ITV digital!!!!

Take tomorrows game, crucial for us, fascinating exciting etc.etc.

Also for the Macclesfield fans

But how many viewers will it bring? 5000+ of us will be at the match, maybe another 5000 "armchair Poolies", the same from Macclesfield? A few thousand other league 2 fans?

Advertising revenue will be poor because of low viewing figures

I actually agree with your point, problem is, while the P.Shit has the stranglehold it has it will never work!!!!

Anyone else remember MOTD in the 70's doing highlights of a couple of lower league games? - don't know why they can't do that now

Imagine if the likes of Ronaldo scored a goal like Boydies V Sheff.Wed....they'd be wanking over it for years!!!!

I bet they've never even seen Boydies goal!!!!
