Nice to see the players we have released at the end of last season have moved on and mostly got new clubs:
Leon McSweeney: Brentford
Joe Gamble (pictured) and Denis Behan : Limerick
Michael Mackay : Consett
Billy Greulich: Durham City
Only these two seem to have no new clubs: Armann Bjornsson and Fabian Yantorno can't think why LOL??

Youngsters Callum Martin & Dylan Purvis: Blyth Spartans
Billy Blackford: unattached.

Liked the where are they now they used to do in the programmes and always interesting to see where our rejects turn up!!

Mackay got 4goals in a few games back to normal for him at that level. Will hit more than 30 goals next season. Also heard he signed back on for a pub team he used play for before signing for pools.

Ta got me Orient and Brentford mixed up!! Good luck to Michael Mackay- think he could have done it at least conference North but will be a force with Consett.
Gruelich was on trial at Blyth before signing for Durham.

Good to see the lads we released have teams, most seem to have found "their level"

It's fair to say he made great progression in his four and half years as a professional footballer then..... well hang on.

I'd love to know what Turners 'plan' was for him at the time he ridiculously offered him a new contract.

Clean the boots and make the tea. I remember Tubby saying he had plans for Mackay at that talk in at the hoopla club, I never really knew what his plan was? Good luck Michael, maybe Turner thought you were like Charlie Austin!

I heard he thought he could get £10k or so for him from a conf team so gave him the extra year.
