We entered the pitch in track suit tops shook hands removed the top to show a brand new all burgundy/purple(ish) strip. I quite like it, top short socks all same colour.

Not the best picture, but least you can roughly see the colour.

Probably burgled a point and almost mugged all 3. Poole must have beat 3 players and ran 35-40 yards to put us in front at the death, but a goal from them late on and probably offside give them a point which is the least they actually deserved, but I would have been happy to steal them all. A nice headed goal from Boyd put us in front from a lovely little chipped ball to the back post for him to head home. Chadwick's goal was decent and to be honest I (and probably many others) couldn't understand why he was took off and he was rightly given MOM. We were little over run at times and I thought we give them to much space. Poole and Luscombe did well when they came on, I thought Nish was a little off it maybe the SPL play at a slower pace and he still needs to adjust. Couple decent saves from Flinders. Solano did ok as did much of the team to be honest, and at the start of the day when we set off we all said we'll take a point.

Need to see thier 2nd I'm sure it's offside and the lad who is credited doesn't seem to know much about it as it seemed just to hit him.

D'Urso should have booked one their players late on as he took a blatant and I mean blatant dive to try and win a penalty in the last seconds, he did well to signal no penalty but to me a booking was least the player should have expected.

It's a point from a team who made play-off's last season and away from home thats always a decent result. Still need to improve but it's early and think we can, a point on an average at times display always bodes well for the future.

In concurrence with Bob.

Pro points
A lot of hard graft put in by all involved (except maybe one)
Thought we were indebted to Flinders who had no chance with either goal
and pulled off a number top class saves plus some good punches from corners.
Boyd looked very lively and was not averse to going deep to look for and
win the ball back. I would rather have seen him left on as the lone striker.
Luscombe looked OK, but we might have been better served if he and
Monkhouse had swapped wings. He really is so left footed.
Poole, in his ten minute spell, showed what pace can do.

Cons
Solano was very disappointing, a few fancy flicks, but nothing like the
workrate of the rest. Lewington was constantlly past him and running
at Austin.
Still not enough threat in the final third and a lack of creativity in midfield.

As has been said Chadwick was pulling all the strings in their midfield ,
taking him off gave us a chance to get back into the game, which we
took and almost mugged them.

Stats don't lie

MK : 13 corners , 8 shots on target
Pools : 0 corners , 2 shots on target

Aye that's true but who would you have running at him? The only name that comes to mind for me would be Poole and we saw what damage he does when he's fresh and the defenders have played 75 minutes.

Thats a big exaggeration if ever there was one John! Gibb did alright that game but 'had his life' would suggest he continually beat him and he certainly never did that.

That's exactly right Gibb absolutely murdered him , ripped him a new a*** if it was his debut game. I actually told everyone we had a good winger. That came back to haunt me.

Gibb had a good game, he looked half decent without being anything flash. He didn't murder him or rip him a new arsehole though. He put in more good crosses that game than he did for the rest of his Pools career. We didn't score any goals.

Ali Gibb did indeed tear him apart that game. Where did he end up after us?

Having read Loughlin's report he makes references to his crossing but no mention of tearing Lewington to bits but if you all say he did then I'll take your word for it but I'm far than convinced!

Gibb made a handful of appearances for shyte non-league south west teams after leaving us
