How come he played no part tonight?

I would of thought the same thing dont risk him there is all season ahead for him i hope so pick his games as they come

We had a similar conversation on the way home, seems silly to risk him while we have enough attacking players for a change.

Same here. Saving him for Saturday - I very much doubt it, he has hardly played at all pre season so can be nowhere near match fitness.

Last twenty minute player I think, at least for a while. Interchangeable with Boydy. They both have goals in 'em but the goals need to come out at some stage.

The type of injury he has had, not once but twice, is very hard to recover from, players always pick up niggly injuries after as it effects speed and balance.

Personally i thought he should have been released. Its sad with his injuries undoubtedly but when he isnt even available for pre season training, friendly games, he's hardly going to be a pivotal player for us this season.

Must say I'm a bit worried regarding his fitness although surely pools had doctors reports etc regarding his current situation before offering him a new contract.
I feel dead sorry for him but I suppose im a soft get like that.

Cant see him playing 15 games this season, I hope I am wrong as a fit James Brown will be our best player.

Which is why we have gambled with him again. He will be a star for us, if we can get him playing regularly.

I think if everyone were fully fit and playing to their highest standard, I think Brown would be our best player. You can't dismiss a players quality because he's injured. He's played some of the best football I've seen at the Vic. If he was 5 years older I would consider releasing him, but for now, I just want him fit to see if he's still got it, like we saw middle of last season

Dont agree that would be Ludscome, if he was full watch fit and about half a stone lighter.

Luscombe hasnt played a game for us yet but is our best player?

Brown crocked and hasnt played properly for us for about two years, being a bit optimisitic there I reckon.

I think we can certainly expect Luscombe to be one of, if not the best this season, I agree; my point was, albeit a bit hypothetical, if Brown hadn't had all those injuries and was playing at his best, he'd be a better player than Luscombe I think

Based on what I saw last season, I think Murray is our best player, just a shame we didn't get him a few years ago.
I think Gary Liddle will be a big player for us this year.
