Just a couple of little pointers about the seats....

1. Can you get someone to clean them please???? sctatchinghead sctatchinghead
The seats in the Mill House are absolutely filthy and with all the seats sold out for the coming season they'll be 'newbies' turning up and won't be too impressed that their seat has at least 3 years worth of muck on it!!!! confised sadx
I remember the days when the Apprentices/YTS's done stuff like this....probably beneath them these days!!!!

2. Can you please number the seats???? sctatchinghead sctatchinghead
I was there tonight and couldn't find my seat due to it not been numbered and with all the seats sold I reckon this will cause a bit of 'chew' for the forthcoming season!!!! confised sadx

Apart from that....you have all done an excellent job with the tickets etc etc!!!! :coool:

BTW Mr.Ripper....before you mention it....I don't want this....

One more thing....

3. There seems to be a lot of young seagulls on the Mill House stand roof wearing segs in their Loafers....the noise was loud as....like....and spoilt my enjoyment of the game somewhat!!!! sadx sadx

Would it be possible to get one of those Plastic Owl things put on the Roof that deter such behaviour....or something like this....

Image

sctatchinghead sctatchinghead sctatchinghead

I'm sure it would enhance....not just mine....but the whole Mill House stands....enjoyment of the forthcoming games!!!! :coool: :coool: :coool:

Thanks!!!!

Mutley nice few moans there

How about congratulating them them.

You at Pools with John Smith's to drink. That must make your season. And few I had no complaints whatever.

Surely that out does every slight complaint

BIG queues for the pies and Bovril - even with a crowd this size. Really need to capitalise on sales this season and that means having plenty of stock and an efficient means of serving people. Not so much a complaint as a comment!

Was there any kind of programme tonight? Agree about the catering, hope they'll put extra staff on, queues were long ar half time.
Mr Mutley CK stand seats also filthy, at least 3 seasons since they were cleaned and the bogs a bit wiffy too!

Perhaps unseleted players could give them a clean over ?LOL .
Knew we should have kept Behan and made use of him.

Our lass said ..."You're back early, what's up....?" I said ..."You won't believe this, I got to the turnstiles last night there was this awful whining sound, like a jet taxiing, I thought they're having an Air Show  . But this bloke said don't go in there, they're filming an edition of the 'Ground Inspector' a bit like the Hotel Inspector, only this is hardcore inspecting. Cleanliness of seats, Bovril, programmes, nowt's safe is like an abbatoir.... so we legged it"....

Wasn't there last night, but can anyone comment on the pie situation? Are they different? Better? Worse?
I've clearly got my priorities sorted

did the new kit, from a distance, just look plain blue?

I know a few fans expressed some great concern over this issue.

It was all everyone was talking about in the club shop yesterday.

Its a fair point about the numbering as well.

It is a sell out, so I can only imagine the chaos and the chew when someone arriving just before kick off finds someone sitting in their seat.

polishing the seats is the type of thing they used to get apprentices doing years ago, but it's probably not allowed now because of health and safety etc. Why don't the local authorities get youth offenders to do it, or community service people, maybe it will get them to think about enjoying other things in life such as footy

First game of the season, let's get everyone to bring in a small bottle of Jif, a clean rag, can of pledge and a yellow duster and do their own seat.

I feel we need an 'Are you cleaning for Pools?' campaign - come on IOR pull your finger out!

Regarding the drinks, I've said for years, 10-15 mins before half time, begin pouring them, pour off 50 or so and it gets rid of the initial rush, either that our do plastic bottles to save time...

If you're talking about serving a lot of pints in a very short time then talk to me. Average band turnover at a big festival is 20 minutes, comparable to half time at a footy match. We'd cope with 30,000 at Leeds/Reading or 40,000 on the main Stage at Glasto. It can be done.

Difficult with barrels like......but 4,000 punters is piece of piss...

No spillage, level head each time, no tipping some out etc, less wastage. Dunno how it tastes mind but must be very cost effective in long run.

When I've been to watch the cricket they have a pump that pours 4 pints in the same amount of time as it takes to pour 1 lager.

A plastic bottle bar is also a good idea. I know some of the bars don't have a lot of fridge space but fillind a bin or large tub with ice water and bottles at about 12 would mean that the drinks were served cold.....

Who'd need a fridge between October and March?

At the festivals we had 'beer cows.' They pour twelve pints in a minute. They were connected directly to 3300 gallon tankers as a keg only holds 18 gallons and the cellar lads would have been pulled out connecting fresh kegs. Using them you could empty a keg in something like 12 minutes and have 128 fresh pints available.

They also advertised on the pint cups so it'd maybe be good for the sponsors as well.

So how much are these fast pouring machines? What would the level of investment be for kitting out a couple of bars at Pools? Would it be in the same ballpark as, for example, a reasonable sponsorship / advertising deal for the cups, i.e. Company X buys the machines in return for having their ads on the pint pots for x number of years?
