A draw for me like, best for us if the teams around us get stuck in a draw fest and drop two points a game each time 'til we're sitting safely on top. Four drawn in four games is still less points than two wins and two defeats.

SURE LOGIC APPLIES

2 TEAMS DROPPING 2 POINTS EACH = 4 POINTS LOST IN PROMO RACE

1 TEAM DROPPING 3 POINTS = 3 POINTS LOST IN PROMO RACE

LIKE MENTIONED EARLIER I'D RATHER THEM BOTH DROP POINTS AS YOU NEVER KNOW WHICH IS GONNA FINISH THE STRONGER

OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT stupid

TTTTTRRRRRRRUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUPPPPTTHHHHHHHHHHH

Big game for us Saddlers , no team news yet . but we are hoping Ian Poper is back , we missed him at your place last week .
Suppose a draw is the best result for you lot , you should have no problems at Torquay .

UP THE SUPER SADDLERS

You probably arent aware of this............but we are Hartlepool. :uhoh: :uhoh: Beat first beat second, ?????????against twenty fourth.

have to admit we struggle against lesser teams , and when we are on a run its usually a botton placed team where we come unstuck .

Having said that i'm very confident both our teams will play in league 1 next season.

We have got to keep winning and let the rest worry about us.
Although the next three games are against teams, fighting for survival
so it ain't gonna be easy, but 9 points should see a gap developing.

Macclesfield at home in league was good, first cup game was sooo cold and the only highlight was all those balls! Second trip was better as didn't have to drive and we won

from what I saw on a web site it was fans. They said the reason they weren't scoring goals was because they didn't have enough balls (not the hairy type) so someone set up for people to meet outside the ground with a ball. The cameras didn't catch all of them some didn't make it over the stand.

That has only been surpassed this season by the referee substituting a very dodgy linesman at Bury

Getting back to the subject - a narrow win for Walsall for me please, although with current goal differences it probably wouldn't change the final outcome if it was a big win.

Let's have a true breakaway group with the others trailing five, six, or seven points behind us. Then we, Walsall, and Swindon can fight it out for first place knowing there's a fabulous consolation for the two who don't get the title.

Did I ever tell you that on our last promotion we had already collected enough points after 37 matches? We didn't know it at the time but the win against Sarfend put us on 75 which is more than 4th place got after nine games more.

That's the sort of situation I love to be in!

Whatever they do we can do nothing about.... however, we can do something about Torquay. If we don't pick up points, what others do is irrelevant.

It would have been wonderful had we known it at the time. It would have certainly felt like promotion more than the eventual reality did. An good win against Southend to maintain a ten point lead over Rushden with Ritchie Humphreys getting his 10th and 11th goals of the season. It would have been some party had we known.

To clinch promotion at Scunthorpe the way we did, a 4-0 defeat with Rushden winning to knock us off a perch that we had sat on for the best part of 7 months was not how I thought promotion would feel. confised

So while a title would be fantastic, just to be able to celebrate a promotion properly - on the day, at the match - would be special too.
That result at Scunthorpe felt almost like relegation, but leaving Rushden was even worse, that was like being mugged!!!

Jjeeeesuss!!!!

You'd have to ask what's going on here, flying for five months and then come up against some teams in decent form and ship goals like never before this season??

Can you please get a draw against Stockport for us??

Ta!!

We can only try. I shall be there, but having presided over 5 of our 8 defeats in all competitions this season : Bolton (cup),Maccs (cup), Swindon, Mansfield, Lincoln, I wouldn't say I'm that much of a lucky mascot

In that case the only option left is to hack you to death with an axe and offer your body bit by bit to the god of football victories, Woden, Thor or similar......
