... going south to get the code for my car which caused me to miss the match on Saturday and which the main dealers say can't give me under the freedom of information act ...I'm gonna visit them today as they open up and may be gone some time...

In it's short life of 3 years it has managed to do an impression of a geyser in the middle of Portsmouth, then be told that after constantly overheating, it was taken in for a couple of thorough investigations and pronounced as fault free...but like a miracle it stopped overheating  Then it would just fail to start for no apparent reason leaving you stranded till it felt like starting ...turned out to be a design fault with the ignition system on the model and they were about to get in touch just before I did to recall it  . It has various electrical 'idiosyncracies' and the passenger seat regularly refuses to move or adjust which is all down to a crap fastening system ..... and not forgetting the windscreen which just cracked down the middle without any sign of debris damage even more so as the crack appeared when the car was parked
BUT..... I've got the code, I only had to sit there for 20 minutes and look 'unhappy'

p.s. it's our lasses car by the way. rolfl

The one I 'like' is when you go in for one tiny thing and they give you a car health check list that oddly always includes a list of fiddly, silly little cosmetic faults that aren't covered by your warrantry....odd that and a real coincidence  ...especially when they don't spot the big things covered by your warrantry, how odd

NOPE...it's the fourth one she's bought, but the other three just ran and ran and ran and ran, they were utterly reliable.

My French thing beginning with P has been the most reliable car I've ever had!

My other French thing beginning with R has been the most reliable VAN I've ever had!

Which French things that you own beginning with letters of the alphabet have been the most reiable things YOU'VE ever had?? confised

Mine began with a 'P@ and required the following
2 x cambelt changes
1 x Alternator
1 X Cat Convertor
1 x new wiring loom (under recall)
various tyres, blades etc etc

Mind you it did cover over 106000 miles and only refused to start once
Compare that to my first car, a British built which required a full service just to get to Redcar
