They look easy to clean Mr Sussex. clicks out, a quick wash/dry and click back in. I suppose the plus side is using little oil.

Mine was £40 from Amazon Prime. Family sized 3.6L capacity. Made 2 portions of chips for me and Dad for Tea. Could have easily got a few more portions in.

When cooking has finished, put the baskets straight into hot water with washing up liquid. Leave them to soak whilst you eat & by the time you have finished eating, the baskets will easily scrub clean with a washing up brush. Many people apparently only use them for making chips, but you can cook allsorts in them (not the liquorice ones though) such as bacon, burgers, sausage, fish, meat etc.

Surely the whole point of having an Acti-Fry , Air- Fry or whatever , is to cut real potatoes into chips , then cook them in said appliance. Only Chavs would cook oven chips in them :animals-dogrun:

Bought one recently. Try cooking proper chips without any oil. If you must, buy a vinegar bottle and fill it with cooking oil and give it a very light sprinkle.
