Actually fuck that there's more to say.

I desperately hope when the highlights are shown that I'm wrong and the ref was spot on. Otherwise I'm gonna fast fall out of love with this Fucking game

Had a pretty good view of the disallowed effort and id have to say the Ref got that one right.. it bounced up and he handled it to get control.. Probably the only of the major decisions he made today that he did get correct!! How he blew up against Donaldson when he tackled the Centre half trying to run it out is beyond me.. banghead

It may have been handball but Donaldson was pushed as the cross came in.

Was that the blunder ref from the 3-3 draw at Stockport? Cerainly looked like him.

It definitely wasn't Sutton and he was referee in the 3-3 draw at Stockport

I am increasingly becoming disillusioned with watching live football at this level due entirely to the gross incompetence of officials.
We see it in almost every game now.
They are spoiling the game................well they are for me.
It has to improve as the upset and anger it causes just isn't worth it.
The thing that sickens me most is the fact that our players shake the referee's hand at the end of a game in which those same players are cheated and treat with no respect whatsoever.
I can't prove that there are officials on the take but I'd take some convincing that they're all clean.
I've just about had enough of it.

I've thought this for some time. It's no surprise that people stop coming to watch games when lacklustre refereeing ruins the game.

Nobody can tell me that the referees performance today was acceptable. All any football fan asks for is a fair crack of the whip.

Refs should be more accountable. I dont subscribe to the theory of them only having a split second to make a decision. How many times do the linesmen (or women) get consulted on decisions by the ref where there is doubt? Nowhere near enough is the answer. They all have headsets now too. No excuses.

I also think that Pools have suffered over the years due to being "unfashionable" and a bit isolated geographically. So called bigger teams are always favoured by the ref, both home and away. See the play-off final for the perfect example.

it boileth my pizz

I'm in agreement, but I watch the Champions League on Tv and they have supposedly Europes best
officials, including those 'goal line officials' (who in my opinion are pointless) and mistakes or otherwise still happen.
I certainly don't want technology to take over the game.
I accept that they are human and can't always be right and that human error is a part of the game.
Take the rough with the smooth etc etc. Although, there does seem to be more rough.
Having said that I'll be one of the first to rant, rave and call them useless w***ers.

I would also like to see our players get in the referee's face when shocking decisions are made. We are too soft, when our players get a shove in the back they need to go down. When the referee or lino give a contentious offside we need to be in their face. Yes that might get us a booking or two but it is sadly the 'modern way' of playing the game.

When the ref disallowed the goal I thought he was giving us a penalty for the reasons Mr Hamster said above. It is a fukking joke... Trying not to rage but can't believe MK shite have taken 6 points off us this season...!

Was it Chadwick who impeded Flinders as he was about to clear in the second half? I think the ref awarded an indirect free kick.
How was that different to Sam Collins' booking on Tuesday night?

derwent speaks the unspoken truth about officials. They are all on the take. They see the money in the game and it's how they get theirs. It's the easiest way to influence a bet they have on, what someone has put the money down for.
Fuck it - this happens cos it's not possible to explain the cheating. Even if we are the beneficiaries it stinks. Far East betting syndicates are never as far away as we would like to think.
Floodlights are still going out in lower league matches when the result isn't going the right way.

Tree is right. Sutton was the ref in both games.

i was looking at the ref when he disallowed the goal and he didn't even blow his whistle until atleast 5 seconds after the ball hit the net. He stuck his arm out the slightest bit, looked over to the linesman, and even though he had his flag down, he still raised his arm to award the free kick (after one of their players said something to him). I thought at first he was pointing to the centre spot like some refs do when there is a goal but even after he raised his arm there was still a good second or two before he blew his whistle.

As for Winter's report, I think it says Donaldson fell off the pitch and dragged the player's shirt. So if he dragged his shirt from the back, why did the player fall forwards onto the ball?!

Referee's these days rage

Just looked at it again and I'm big and daft enough to admit I was wrong. Never handball! Let's just hope things even themselves out tonight and were on the right end of a dubious one!!
