A thoroughly deerved win, after a superb all round performance. Hard to pick a MOTM, but for me it has to be Sweeney. Dont think I have ever seen anyone work so hard. Awesome stuff.

ratings

Flinders 7. One superb save low down to his left. Steady and confident. Welcome back.
Haslam 6. Steady but caused a couple of scary moments.
Horwood 8. Contender for POTY.
Collins and Hartley 7. What has been going on at the away games?
Sweeney 9. MOTM
Murray 8. Have we had a better central midfielder in the last 10 years? Ever?
Liddle 8. Getting forward more, and a great header
Monkhouse 8. More like it.
Brown 5.5 Control wa shocking at times. Got better before being substituted.
Donaldson 8. Well that was defo more like it. A great game, though should have scored. If thats what we can expect get him signed on.

Larkin. 4. Touched the ball 3 times. The first time after approx 15 minutes after coming on. And did you notice him bottle out of challenging the keeper ouside the box....AGAIN?

Humphreys 7. Steadied us upfront and held the ball up well.
McSweeney 6. Solid when he came on.

I would stick with the Bown Donaldson front two. Brown just needs to keep playing to sharpen him up. Lets keep them together, cos they may need 3 or 4 games to properly gel.

Overall superb. And a joy to be there.

Right Humphreys chased the ball through, and got a touch, he then missed the next ball when it bounced up. The ball bobbled out to Larkin, who then ducked out of the way. Dont take my word for it, ask anyone in the town end.

I suppose his three touches in 20 minutes of headless chicken running, but only ever getting to the ball once, is worthy of some sort of praise?

Oh, and he didnt actually control the ball other than one time and then he even managed to pass the ball back over to one of their players.

His performance was so comical there were people rolling around the floor laughing in the town end.

Oh and despite what you all may think, we were willing him to score. But it never looked like happening.

I'll use this thread to ask a question on the game.

I know I'm getting old and my memory is going but according to the BBC stats we only won 1 corner, now I thought we had more than that. So did we ??

i can't believe Dibble, er, Mr Cresote, er, enter one of a million names here, has used a 20 minute sub to write the most about out of all them players. He could have wrote a full paragraph on how great Murray was, but instead decided to concentrate on a player who played 20 minutes.

I would like to say its unbelievable.......but it isn't confised

Humphreys and Larkin both did well when they came, Humps held it up won a few headers and played one sublime volleyed pass, Larkin ran his balls off and did a lot of closing down. Charlton had no pace at all at the back so he was an obvious choice to bring on.

Very good team performance, nobody including subs deserved a 4.

He IS crap. No 2 ways about it. Nailed on to be released at the end of the season. But he is the only substitute 'striker' who actually puts any effort in when he plays, plus he has pace which no other 'striker' in the team has.

To be fair on humps tho he must remembered what happened the last time he went in on a keeper in a one on one.One thing you cannot question is his committment to the club.

Totally agree with Chip, the need to slag Larkin off is nothing short of embarrassing. He covered some ground last night and he always puts a shift in. How Larkin can be rated as 4 and Mcsweenie as a 6 when Leon only had 4 minutes is nothing short of stpid
