and we might create an atmosphere that gets the team playing with a good tempo and fire a few goals in.

Between Tuesday and the end of March we play 11 games, 8 of them at home and if we can manage to be unbeaten in those 8 then with the amount of teams below us throwing points away safety will be almost in the bag and we can at least enjoy the last month of football then look forward to a summer clearout.

as much as I agree with the sentiment. We have lost too many games 4-0 lately. Those staying away will look at that and say not a chance.

Shame, but we cant just keep losing 4-0 away, and expect part-timers to turn up for the next home game.

we won three away games in a row, 1-0 at bournemouth, tranmere, and huddersfield. the attendance for the first league game at the vic after those wins was 3411 and included over 400 oldham fans. it was also a public holiday. if we cant get over 3000 on the back of 4 straight wins on new years day when 7th in the table then nothing pools do for the rest of the season will radically alter things.

after the 3-0 loss at notts county, exactly the same number of home fans were at the vic for the next home game.

the attendances all season have indicated we get about 2400-2500 midweek and 2700-2900 on a weekend. this stays pretty much constant and only seems to dip after a bad performance in the previous home game.

Cant believe you said that. I beg to differ Mr Chip.

Recent result always have a bearing in peoples minds when considering whether or not to go to the match. Also financial cosideration come into it as we will see this week with three home games in a row.
