When Oldham were bossing the game in the first 20 minutes today I was very impressed with their big striker. So I come home and do some research on who he is.

Oumare Tounkara is his name - on a season long loan from bloody Sunderland.

We haven't got a striker worthy of the name at the club (I'm a massive fan of Boyd's past but not his present, Browny seems to be developing into more of a winger when fit, Larkin works hard but is less likely to score than Kean and as for Behan and Bjornsson..............).

We're asking Ritchie Humphreys to play up front and our 'friends' up the road send a player that good to Oldham instead of 15 miles down the road. I would understand why we get no help from Boro -after all we'll be playing them next year - but why do we NEVER get any help from the region's big two clubs?

Pools are managing magnificently without a real striker - but how good could this team be with a real lively threat up front.

This subject crops up from time to time but how can we blame sunderland without knowing the facts? Maybe the player didnt want to come to pools? maybe pools were offered him but didnt want him?

Until i hear that sunderland wilfully opted to send him to oldham at the expense of pools then I dont see how we can grumble.

Same bloody Sunderland that kept us in League 1 last season by loaning us O'Donovan. Maybe we didn't want the player you've mentioned

For their first goal he really impressed me with the his work wide and then the quality pass he put in.

But you are right I suppose in that in O'Donovan and Kyle SAFC have been helpful. It is just irritating when you see good players in positions where we are weak out on loan at Manchester clubs.

Its not unlikely that the player does not want to come to pools. If the rumours are true then even O 'Donovan doesnt want to be here right now so its not surprising if other sunderland youth/reserves opt to go elsewhere.

Kyle was a loan from Coventry City, not Sunderland

I thought there centre half was better like, the number 6. Very composed as well as quick and agile.

fuck anyone who doesn't want to play for Pools. Pools is the only team for me - I made a New Year resolution in the Mill House to spit at people for taking the piss out of Pools
Nice big greenies in their astonished kippers.
Then I'll punch them before they react.
I'm a master tactician me

I know where pde147 is coming from, it is frustrating as fck. I think a better example is that Lua Lua at Brighton, scores plenty of goals but is 300 miles from home. Surely it'd be better all-round for him to commute here?

They're just being spiteful because we never lend them any players.

...I'd bet Mr Uglymug Mowbray wouldn't mind a few of our players to help his team through their current...predicament.

I may be wrong here but if hes goen there for the season then id have thought he was just a youngun? the whole point of loans for kids is experience he probably wouldnt get the same experience if he came here rather than went to oldham, he'd still be able to live at home with home comforts etc. Poole comign here was a good example i think he still lived at home with his mam while being at man city so they send him away here see how he copes?
