..and listened to BBC Tees, an hour and a half of solid Pools with Richie Humphreys in the studio, loads of audio clips of our great games over the past decade. Got to be worth another listen on Iplayer!

Made a tedious journey fly past!

The Bristol game was utterly fascinating and I'm glad I experienced it despite the result. To go through all of those emotions in the space of 15 minutes can't be good for you though!

and then to be stood in the corner with about 1,000 pools fans wanting to clap off the players only for about 20,000 Brizzol fans to invade the pitch and immediately come over giving it large....the bastards

That Sweeney goal is probably in my 5 favourite ever Pools goals. There was a picture of him celebrating in The Park pub not so long back, great picture.

I turned off my phone for 24 hours after that game, couldn't bare to speak to anyone. I took it pretty bad!

Ritchie Humphreys is one the nicest people you could ever hope to meet in Professional football. He is also one of the most professional too. And loyal. And some of his achievements at Pools will go down in the history of this club.

Yet I am sure if an alien came down to earth and read this site at times, you would think he was a c**t, and has been shite for years.

That programme was fantastic. Even Brownlee came across as half human....well almost !!!!!!!!!!

I found the comments from Neil Cooper on Ritchie and vice versa extremely interesting.

Concurring fully with that, very down to earth honest bloke who is just doing what he loves somewhere he is very happy.

Though to be honest the majority of those connected with Pools that I have met in recent years have been a million miles away from the stereotypes chucked about by those who don't give a toss about football.

Just listened absolutely quality stuff and some great memories. It's speaks volumes about his time at the club that they didn't even have time to mention the relegation season and subsequent promotion. They had to cover those couple of seasons in League One most though as they were great days. I still got a lump in throat listening to Brian Arrundale's commentary of the play off games. I mean Joel Porter's goal at Cardiff and that own goal Bristol City scored for us

Interesting that the manager to take time out to speak very highly of Ritchie was Neale Cooper, which was contrary to some of the stuff we've read on here for years

Ritchie Humphreys is an absolute credit to his profession.

just listened to it, and it confirmed virtually everything i already thought about ritchie.

his dedication to pools can never be questioned, particularly as he is not a local lad. magnificent servant for the club, and hopefully we can appreciate his loyalty for years to come.

the commentary from cardiff of our two goals made the hairs on my neck stand up. took me over a year after the game to even consider watching the game on dvd.

the sheer poetry and magnificence of daly's leap and unstoppable header still brings tears to my eyes.

Last summer the week before the FA decided to rob us of 3 points, I helped out the guys who were filming Ritchies interview for that big tall ships video thing. It was tea time and he was driving down to Sheffield after but he just hung around in no hurry and was happy to chat about football, the FA and other unrelated things.

If the club can keep a bloke with his attitude to the game and professionalism around then the young lads in the youth teams have a fantastic role model.

Possibly the best signing Turner ever made for the club.

Should work alright for radio stuff, the TV has loads of rights issues so they block overseas addresses but radio is OK for some reason.
