I'm sure that Mr I should be able to line you up with a bird for a few hours.

Don't go to the castle, it's crap.

Apart from going in any number of decent pubs, there's a few things you can do to pass the time.

Galleries of Justice is good - museum about crime and punishment, located in the old court.

Caves of Nottingham good as well - smart reconstructions of how the caves have been used over the years.

Nottingham Contemporary - new art gallery if you're into that sort of thing.

Loads of shops if you're into shopping, loads of restaurants if you're hungry (Kayal is the best Indian in the world), and it's nice to sit in Market Square and admire all the blart.

Just noticed this...

A few hours. Well give Hooters a miss, tackier than a Katie Price wedding.

Take a walk round the city centre shops, it really is impressive if you like that sort of thing.
The Market Square is great for a sit down but remember to ignore the shops and look about them, notice the really old buildings. Some dating back 600 years. Also notice the tottie as Mr PIN says.

Inside the castle is indeed shite. but take a walk round it without going inside. The old walls are free to look at because they are on the outside of the castle, inside looks like Ikea built it. While you're at it have a pint in the trip to Jerusalem, legend has it that it was the meeting point for the young Knights going off to smash Saladin and his mob in the crusades. Hence the name. It's nearly 800 years old.

Thats your few hours done if you take in some of PIN's suggestions.

Cloughie's statue is in Market Square, isn't it?

I've always wanted to go and see it.

Fair shout from the Mr Kent. The statue is just off the market place at the bottom of King St and Queen St. Basically stand on the steps of the council house (big building in market place.) and look right, you'll see it from there.

Our first band was named after a business in Nottingham

Breckonshire Dyeworks. :coool:

They coloured cheap ''sports' socks. The warehouse manager and his son swapped coats for Christmas. You get the idea. sctatchinghead
