I think the last couple of results shows that for us to progress our squad needs to be strengthened considerably. I now will be told that it aint gunna happen because we have no money i suppose.

Ill go along with that Chip. Dont think we can expect anything more than consolidation this season. We are still in the strongest position we have ever been in as a club.

Have to say there some pretty "big" teams in League One like Southampton/Sheff W you have to compete with.

Your ideal season sounds a bit like our hopes but with the good runs there might be more expectations maybe?

Thanks for the good wishes as for playing you again I wouldn't mind it if we did in the Championship.. As for "the guy who has been with you for 10 years going" I assume you must mean Sir Ritchie OBE.. The only place he'll be going is upstairs he's part of the coaching team as well!

He's part of the fixtures and fittings at pools too.

Before we signed him we were just called Artlepool United.

The H was added after we signed him.

So he literally is Hartlepool United, like literally.
