Finished it yesterday, he's not very happy with Pools is he!

While I have a little sympathy, I think he's rather forgetting certain things about his time as Manager. Namely, that he was pretty poor while in charge, couldn't keep his mouth shut to Refs (though a great play is made of how much he felt they were victimising both Pools and himself) and that while he may well have been let down by some of the players, this included a number of his own signings.

Reading it as a Poolie, all I can think is that he comes across as very bitter and twisted and that's a shame as it's potentially spoiling and obscuring his playing record. Let's face it, in both playing spells his record was a very good one, but instead of being someone that tried and failed he's coming across as someone that couldn't see his own faults in the dugout. I wish him well overall, but he'd have come out of it all a lot better if he hadn't looked like he's blaming everyone except himself.....

He was a great player without a doubt, as a manager though he didn't do as well.Mind you he didn't have a great deal of money to work with in his time at Pools, maybe if he was about in the IOR era he would have done alot better?

Did he manage anyone else after he left Pools?

What's he doing now?

I seen him in Marksy's car park about four years ago, watching his daughter abseil off Marksy's roof for charity!!!! I was there because our lass was doing the exact same thing!!! Never said owt to him, like - 'cos I think it might have been me in the picture in the paper holding up the "Houchen out" banner!! Or was it the Tait Out banner? I can't remember. I never had hold of the Scooty Out banner, that's Mr Mutley's honour!!!

..it was 'TAIT OUT' .... or should that be 'TUO TIAT' seeing as you held it backwards...it was even worth my lads pissing their pants with laughter and having to walk them home. rolfl
