....packed in on Friday night, it's like the Baltic in our house at the mo', having to shuttle the kids up to me muthers and back for showers etc, I've even had the fan assisted oven on in the kitchen to warm it up....door open of course.
If it was'nt for the fact I'm a battle-hardened Millhouse Terracer, I think I'd have gone under by now.As I type I'm sitting with a paint stripper heat gun warming me fingers.

Thanks for the info Mr.I, ....I had a couple of knowledgable engineers out yesterday but they did'nt carry any Ravenheat spares. I managed to get it away for about an hour after they'd gone, but it wont fire up now, possibly the fans goosed. I get this impression that Ravenheat boilers must be the Reliant Robin of the boiler world...doh!

I would buy some electric heaters to use temporary, you can get hold of them for £15-£35, they aren't ideal but better than nothing. Boilers can cost a fortune to put right and there will be one or two engineers bumping their prices up during this cold snap. I don't know what to suggest for showers except the obvious boiling a pan of water or the kettle and pouring it in the bath.

....Is now away and running clappp , it's like party time in our house tonight......I've just cracked open a bottle of 2004 Rioja to celebrate. At one point during the night it was that cold in our bedroom I'm sure someone opened our bedroom door and uttered "I'm just going outside, and may be some time".
