Post subject: What age started watchin Pools?
PostPosted: Thu Nov 25, 2010 12:07 am
I was thinking of taking my 2 year old son to the match on saturday as it`s the only way I can go, his mum out for the day and evening, I think he is too young but I see that age or younger on tv games!

What do you reckon? Will I miss most of the game tryin to keep him amused or maybe a high dose of calpol to sedate him sctatchinghead

My boy is nearly 2. I know that he can't sit still for 2 minutes never mind the best part of 2 hours. Until he can sit and watch the match I'm not going to take him in case it puts him off for later life.

Unless he's naughty like. bbolt

My plan is to take the bairn to non-Pools match early next season, probably Hucknall Town or someone else nearby who are down the pyramid. He'll be 3 and a half then which I reckon will be about right.

That way he'll get used to what happens at a match, if he gets bored and we leave at half time I won't have chucked £20 down the drain, and I won't be that bothered if I have to entertain him rather than watching the game.

Thats why I chose this game coz it only 12 quid, wouldn`t feel as bad and if I can get a staple gun into the ground to attach him to a seat, all the better!

I wouldnt bother lads until they get too at least 4/5 year old.

Took the eldest to the JPT trophy game when at aged 3 and she was bored and wanted to go before the game started.

took her and her cousin a year later, he was 6 at the time, enjoyed it loads more both of them there, took sweets, a magazine for half time and drinks. Worked well.
