He was just a very gunuine fella and even bought me a drink, of course I returned the favour. I was sat on the table next to him and I said to my mate "there's a good Hartlepool lad there", he obviously heard me and said "your a poolie?" and invited us over to join him and his mate. Cracking night, especially as my pal is a Liverpool fan. To be fair he said he enjoyed his time more at Hartlepool ha ha

He got in a bit of bother when he was at Liverpool- tabloid story was that he was dipping his tackle in women's drinks in a nightclub. An unconventional approach but hardly the worst offence ever commited by an off duty footballer. Enough to get him transferred though, if I remember rightly. Must be a hard life when drunken flashing in a nightclub gets you 10% of a hefty transfer fee.

I think he's seen it a few times. Fletch used to be (may still be) big mates with Redknapp from when they played at Bornmuff, and they used to get up to all kinds of high jinks in Liverpool.
