Excellent.
Interesting what he has to say regarding the Billingham case.

I think the dig, reading between the lines is this sentence.

Don't forget the next game is also a Cup game at Sheffield Wednesday on 10th November. That should be interesting.

It has an innuendo.Or at least I think it soes.

Yeah I got really excited at Kenny baby's notes. He really slams those fly by night Sheffield backers, Turner and Green.
Then he told us about a striker coming in on trial........creamed me trousers at that announcement.
Good old Uncle Ken.

a player on trial? that suggests he's not currently with a club. Wonder if its an ex Dundee player.

Mickael Antoine-Curier had his contract terminated 2 weeks ago......

Sad as it is for me to say but if there is a striker that is any good that is without a club at present, then he ain't gonna be ending up at Pools. Would be wonderful if it happened like.

Well if we apply your logic, any striker we sign is a waste of space so we might as well not bother.

I noted with interest the chairmans comment regarding Billingham Town, that ... HUFC are not alone in having outstanding invoices.

Hm interesting that he says our last significant run in the F.A. cup was six years ago, did'nt we reach the fourth round two seasons ago when we beat Stoke in the third round? In the televised fourth round a certain Mr. Mason decided to award West Ham a penner for a hand ball about two yards outside the box if memory serves me right. Would have liked him to mention something about appointing/advertising for a manager in the near future.

Do enlighten me as to why ...? Is it the security blanket or the father figure theory coming into play, the need for this figurehead with the magical titile of manager who will make everything better. Obviously, from that one sentence you don't approve of what Wadsworth/Hodcroft is doing and just won't be happy till somebody, anybody is tucked into post with your longed for title.
If only it were that simple.
File under .... ' I'm not happy/insecure'.

Good old Uncle Ken.
I note he had his say in the understated but effective way I'd expect of the bloke and he was hardly likely to descend into a twelve page Paisleyesque rant.
As for ... 'creaming you trousers' ... I believe pads are available for this sort of thing if the medication fails.

Well we have signed Greulich, Bjornnson, Boyd, Larkin, Behan and renewed Mackay's contract..............all of which have lit up the Vic sky with their goalscoring exploits. Do they come into the waste of space category you refer to.
Mr Hodcroft is not going to acquire any sort of prolific striker until that lot disappear, not on the gates we are getting. Who can blame him?
I would love it if he did like, as I said I would cream me pants !!!!!!!!!!!!

And where did I say he should descend into a Paisleyesque rant???? sctatchinghead
I too noted what he said, especially about other unpaid invoices. That comment made me wonder even more about why such a debt allegedly owed to us was allowed to mount up. It will get sorted though, of that I'm sure.
I'm confident KH knows what he is doing. That Barrister representing Billy Town will cave in under the pressure, especially if his invoices are being overlooked as well.

Creaming of the trousers is a figure of speech, but if I ever need help to mop up such emissions I'll refer back to your advice.

The Barrister working for Billy Town is apparently doing it for free.

Ken, I'm afraid, is again, being disingenous in his notes about the Billy Town saga.

Unpaid invoices? Too whom?
If that's really the case it would be a different kind of court hearing with Billy Town facing a winding up order.
At the moment it's purely a case of Pools V Billy Town, nothing more. Don't believe me? . Get to the Court on 23rd December & hear for yourself.

Pools were stupid not to turn up to the meeting on Nov' 3rd. Yes, it would have been better to have a SBC rep' there but the meeting could & should have gone ahead without the rep there if only to help thrash out some details as a basis for then meeting with SBC.

I think Billy Town have handled the situation poorly but so have Pools.

I.O.R have been great for the club but given the farce with the ground sale & the situation with Billy Town
it seems Pools have got some way to go in improving their negotiation skills.

It's not the business of the chairman to reveal to whom or for how much, the nature of other parties outstanding invoices, but the responsibuility of the party /parties involved and never likely to be revealed. To ask to whom, is mere posturing.
Of course it's a case of purely Pools alone v Billingham Town, as other parties may not wish to pursue that course of action depenadant on a number of factors.
