Are there any companies that you would like to see Pools reject sponsorship from? I know this seems like a strange question, especially in tough economic times, but I'm not really overjoyed about seeing the Niramax name above the Mill house stand. This is a company which has blighted the Hartlepool landscape and has caused the value of some peoples houses that overlook it to plummet.

Also, there was a rumour at one point in time that Darlington Building Society was going to sponsor the home shirt. Would this stop anyone buying a shirt if they did?

Anyone else?

On a related theme, I was a little bit surprised to see how many blank advertising hoardings there are in the town end. But as times are hard I guess I shouldn't be. A board at Pools can be a little bit of a luxury when it comes to a company advertising budget, I doubt that many companies would recoup the price of a board from increased business as a result of the board never mind an additional profit on extra business.

I can't comment on the boards at the town end as I stand in that end. But there was one with a black bag over it in the rink end, and all the boardings in front of the seats in the mill house stand had been removed.

As you say, times are hard.

Maybe we can all club together and get a board with www.pooliebunker.co.uk put up somewhere in the ground.

There is no way I would wear a shirt advertising a Darlo company.
I' d rather go down the Barcelona route and have a charity, such as National Monkey Rescue Centre.

It wouldn't bother me, in a climate when local clubs (Boro, Darlo themselves, and us for the away shirt) are struggling for shirt sponsors beggars can't be choosers. We support the club, if a company supports the club financially and you chose to boycott a product because of where they are from I reckon that is fairly pathetic. They are the Darlington Building Society not Darlington FC, Pools have had previous association with them, they are the same as any other sponsor.

I'd be more pissed off if I was a Darlo fan and Darlington Building Society paid to sponsor our shirts, as I am with the company from Hartlepool who are plastered all over the Boro shirts.

Have to agree with PJ. We have to get money in to the club no matter where the source comes from, and as long as it's legal.

Of course local Hartlepool companies would be best but if someone offers more then the club should take it.

It would be nice to see local companies on the shirt but I don't think it's going to happen.

Maybe Camerons could return haven't they just won a deal to produce some beer or other.

Maybe we could win promotion again with them on our shirts.
