The music starts again....

One or two of you will know that I live a few miles from Donington Park. for the best part of a year its been silent but over the past couple of months the vandalism that was carried out by that company who were planning to hold the F1 GP has been rectified.

From personal experience of what is probably in excess of 1000 laps of Donington over the past 15 years, I would say it is as good a strip of black stuff as it gets for a motorbike. Theres a bloke called Vanentino Rossi who agrees with that.

In the past when I wasn't actually at the curcuit, I been able to watch the Moto GP, World Superbikes or British superbikes on TV with the sound off and listen to the live noise in the background.

Today the sound is back and I can hear it as I sit in the kitchen with the French Windows open. Motorbikes are again racing at Donington as that is how God intended it.

I used to work in Ramsey in the IOM, the track was 20 yards behind the shop and during breaks and skives I`d sit by the road, the smell and sounds were fantastic during TT weeks, the birds in tight leathers were an added bonus

I can still remember as a kid the Hells Angels roaring down Yarm road and onto to Firthmoor..Jungle George and his Chapter ..
