Aye, and years ago they were called 'Frendlies', most people were justified in their criticism of our 'practice' matches

We were cackalicious, dreadful, bobbins, pants, shank, pooh and cack

But don't let that get in they way of a debate

And two matches don't make a season, we had an equally good start last season.

heh heh

all I'm saying is, that the shite that was written on here and the shouts of 'turner out' at a friendly were utterly ridiculous!

I know 2 games ont make a season, just reminding you all that that game didn't really matter did it?!

Some of the tail-ends along the Town End who were shouting "Turner Out" at the Leeds match, were shouting "Poolie Till I Die" last night. Let's be thankful it's going reasonably well, and try and be positive so we can continue in the same vein. A win on Saturday would mean a VERY GOOD start to the season. Very good.

I'm a bit more optimistic after our first two games than I was 2 weeks ago but at this point last season we had gone to MK Dons and got a point and knocked Coventry out of the League Cup at their place.

I noticed CT made an acknowledgement to Mick Wadsworth in last nights post match interview. Perhaps he's making a difference. Hope so.

Fans react according to their team's performances.............they always have and they always will.
The last two performances have been good and have received positive reactions.
There are fans ( of every club) who want to see their team play well in ANY game and react accordingly, and there are fans who look at the bigger picture.
Is that so difficult to understand?????
And then there is the " I told you so brigade ".
Any chance any of that brigade giving us the Euro numbers for tomorrow night??????

I am too, we played well at 'Dale I though, and from the highlights and reports we played well against the Sheff Utd, hopefully Saturday will be the same

If we play like we have in the last two matches and we get a bit of luck with injuries and suspensions I am more confident of us being comfortable in this league than I was pre season.
My main concern is if we need temporary strengthening, will it be available????

I suppose it does come across as i told you so, but that wasn't my intention. I was merely pointing out that such an over reaction to a friendly was pathetic and needless.

Fair do's when it matters like.

AND??

A lot of people WILL be Poolie till they die but want turner out.

Granted, its a decent start. Lets hope it continues. Whether its down to Wadsworth, who knows?
