...at the game, than judging by the impression I gained from the game from 'Pools Player, I would have been totally upset at the way in which Sheffield United just seemed to surrender last night.

Call-ups or no call-ups, I don't think their side really showed a lot of fight and desire to get back into the game.

In fact listening to that game last night, I felt so relaxed because in my view, the result was never in any doubt.

The last time I felt so relaxed whilst listening to a competitive (supposedly) 'Pools game was when we thrashed Gainsborough Trinity 6-0 away from home in the 1st Round of the FA Cup a couple of years ago on Remembrance Sunday in 2007.

Sheffield United had better not play like in the Championship season, otherwise they'll be relegated!!!

to be honest I couldn't give two tosses what the Sheff Utd fans thought or how they will finish the season, we won and very easily.

That credit should go to pools and the tactics set up by Mick and implemented by the players, we stopped them playing it wasnt a case of they didnt turn up. Like the Stoke game we got our positions and methods right to stem the flow and their passing game.

From the highlights the only time they showed any glimpses that they were in a higher division was in the second half on the edge of our box near the Cyril, they cut us open with a quick triangle passing followed by a rubbish shot from their midfielder that nearly hit the corner flag.

I dont want to take anytthing away from us. We must have defended very well and 'Pools can be proud of that.

But I found it incredible last night that the sports reporter on 'Pools Player was talking about the prospect of League One Swindon putting up more resisitance to us on Saturday in a League game than a depleted, but Championship level Sheffield United in a League Cup game.

I saw the highlights on the BBC and saw that shot that hit the corner flag. That was woeful!!!!

I thought the Sheffield United fans were very funny last night when Bartley had that shot straight at Flinders in the 85th minute and the whole away end sarcastically started jumping about and cheering before singing "one shot, we've only had one shot!!" You know you've won a game very easily when the opposition are taking the piss out of their own team!
