If the board experts have got it right we should do well with Brown and Boyd together up front. Hope so.

Sheff Utd have only made 4 changes to the starting lineup from Saturday so it'd be no mean feat if we went through. Especially with our best player out injured.

Come on Pools

Playing very well, fighting for every ball.
Let's hope we can keep it up.
Crowd sparse, about 1500 from pool but a good turnout from sheff utd 7-800.

2-0 up

Boyd pen.

Sweeney pushed over in the box, commentary suggested it was harsh but the only real decision the ref could make.

To be honest i can't see who you would drop from tonights team for Yantorno. Sweeney was excellant for the 2nd game running and probably shaded Liddle for man of the match. Noticed Gordon Strachan in the crowd, not sure who he was casting an eye over, maybe flinders or liddle?

Maybe one of their players or maybe they simply play Sheff Utd soon?

If it was Flinders then he never had a save to make and made a clanger with that awful punch so he will have been put off clappp

Glancing at my Northern Echo fixture list on the wall, the Boro are playing Sheffield United at home on the 21st.

As we don't have any Jocks I doubt he would be interested in any of our players...
