Carlisle fans in response: 12-1 to Derek Bird............

Any better or worse than the old Harry Roberts song?

The people that chant this rubbish generally don't have 2 braincells to scratch their arse with, sadly though its a bit pointless crticising with some of the racism I hear at the vic and the disgusting chants that were heard from Poolies at Brentford.

I wasn't around when Harry Roberts was sent down. The chants I've heard have usually been sung by young lads who only had a rough idea of who Roberts is. Thick, but maybe not truly nasty. Singing pro-Moat songs within earshot of people who may well have known Chris Brown, or know David Rathband, is a fair bit worse to me, though I realise that that the Roberts chanting would have been a lot uglier in tone 40+ years ago.

And Roberts clearly hasnt reformed found this newspaper headline and story from last year:

Totally agree, my ex wanted to go and watch Pools I wouldnt take her becasue of this racist rubbish, becasue she would have just got really angry and ended probably clocking them. Sometimes I dont understand how people can say anything racist or against the police in this way.

As already been said usually kids or chavs that have never been out of the town and only listen to the thicket, insular, moronic opinions of their inbred family.

I heard them

They were quite a few racist chants towards their black players and also, for god know what reason, 'No surrender to the IRA'

I lived in London for nearly a decade and that area of London is hardly know for its support towards the IRA

Talking about thickets and Raoul Moat this woman travelled 276miles with her son to go to his funeral;

"Despite never having met the killer who became Britain's most wanted man, Ms Bystram said the family had travelled to the West Road Crematorium in Newcastle because 'we feel Raoul was a legend'.

In sickeningly sympathetic comments, Ms Bystam continued: 'I absolutely loved him. I just think he is a hero and I wanted to pay my respects.

'He kept them coppers on the run all that time. Fair enough people died but they must have deserved it.'

"Ghoulish: Theresa Bystram and her sons Joe, Jed and Jess travelled from Surrey to attend the funeral of fugitive gunman Raoul Moat, despite not knowing him"

What's the betting her other 5 children are called Jack, John, Jill, Jade, and Jane.

Thick beyond belief.

There were quite a few chants at the Brentford keeper too, took the shine of what was a largely good showing of pools fans that day.

Ah yes. He was Polish wasn't he. A Polish player getting abuse on the anniversary of VE Day. I'm sure he found the timing amusing. :coool:

The irony button must have been broken that day.

Get the fook in. Great scoop from the Daily Dustbin, interrogating all the attendees to find who had the lamest reason for being there. People's lives are so much better for knowing that.

Ok the majority are stating racist chants to their black player....I never heard it to be honset but I agree it's not on at all......

However with reference to the IRA I dont see this as racism? I was not involved in these chants........But hang on a minute anyone who goes around bombing British soliders to death gets no sympathy from me.......At Brentford I took no part however.... Personally I agree with the term "NO SURRENDER" only not attached to Hartlepool United as it has no relevence to the club.

Off Topic but Why would anyone Surrender to the IRA Scum?.

I think its a very silly chant. Firstly those singing it have not got the first clue what they're on about but somehow this has permeated down from the Celtic/Rangers thing.

What any activities by PIRA has to do with Hartlepool v Brentford completely baffles me.

not that im suggesting any of them were, or are, ira members like.

though it did seem to be sung in the direction of the brentford family enclosure and this could for all i know be a seething hotbed of irish republicanism.

the monkey chants and illegal immigrant songs were just plain embarrassing.

and the 'Engerrrland, Engerrrrland, Engerrlzzzzzzzzzz' chanting. What a crock of shit.

I let them know what I thought. I also did it from enough distance so they couldn't hear me. :coool:
