I'm sure if the "alleged" takeover was to happen then that would go without saying surely.

Say for example Richard Branson bought us out then he would appoint his own chairman if it wasn't him.

Hodcroft is employed by IOR, therefore if they didn't own Pools he would be moved to another part of the IOR company, they not going to pay him if he stays at Pools, Branson would do that.

No I'm not saying Branson is the mystery investor/bidder for the club, I used him as an example.

what i meant was they company are ready to takeover, all they need to happen now is hodcroft to stand down

He doesn't have to stand down if IOR don't own Pools.

The new company will SIMPLY appoint someone else. Hodcroft is employed by IOR, if IOR leave Pools, Hodcroft goes as well.

Now if the alleged takeover is an investment then the person/company who are investing can insist Hodcroft stands down but if IOR still have a majority share-holding in Pools they may insist he stays, which may mean the company wanting to invest don't put there money up.

It will mean them all sitting around a table and discussing the options.

He would struggle to find a virgin in Hartlepool though

I wonder if this whole "takeover" thing has been an orchestrated wind up by some board members to see how far they could get with it....

So far they have made it into the Hartlepool Mail and The Sunday sun......and got everyone on here talking about it.

Everyone who has mentioned it "knows" an insider at the club and/or a player or someone "senior" within the club. Would these people who work for HUFC really spill the beans on such a big issue to people who would post it straight on here?

Basically Ken isnt playing ball, far from it, so consequently i wouldnt be surprised if they fully pull out. I hope to god ken signs the deal.


this is no made up rumour, theres no conspiracy, were on the verge of being taken over by another oil company willing to invest money but could loose it all this week. either way im sure it will all come out next week.

if ken steps down we get taken over, if he refuses to budge we stay penniless this year.

Bosco, not saying your wrong or owt, but again to go back to bobs point, if we get took over by another company then ken has no choice but to step down, as ior will no longer own pools.

unless ken is heading up the deal for ior and the new company wanting to takeover are dealing with him.
