Just watched repeat of last nights Matchplay Darts final, between Phil 'The Power' Taylor and Van Barnie.
Taylor is unbelievable, everytime Barnie got close, Taylor stepped up a gear.
Is there another Englishman in any sport in the last decade that has even come close to his level of success?
11 times Matchplay champion!
Darts certainly has the following, both live and increasingly on Tv, passionate fans and exciting tournaments, so
can anyone tell me how The Power has never been Sports Personality of the Year?

Probably because he's an obese, beer swilling, parlour game player.

Darts Weekend's are fun down here , theres loads of big fat drunks falling flat on there face's by Sunday Afternoon..

the only sportsman i can think of who runs close would be carl foggarty world superbike multiple champion

The rumour allegedly involved a 16 year old girl or something similar, although as far as I'm aware nothing was ever proven.
