Just read the half-time report, which turns out to be the full time report and someone has made an almighty cock up, with one of the players names.

The paragraph starting Michael Mackay originally read Michael MAIDENS.
How can such an error be made?

Someone made a unfortunate typing error, realised and corrected it. Lets not create merry hell over it.

Concurring. Very unfortunate.

Ditto. It's very easy to make that mistake when the brain gets ahead of itself. The writer would be used to writing Michael Maidens when he typed Michael Ma and unfortunatley the brain went into auto mode. I've done that with different names and words many times before.

An unfortunate error, nothing more.

And let's not forget the person who wrote was friends with Michael Maidens. sadx

Surely, rather than being a gaff, it shows how highly thought of Maidens was, that he is still at the front of someones mind when they are typing a name out. Sometimes people get a twist on over the most innocent things.

If the report was written in MS Word on a laptop that was in use when Micheal was still with us, it's quite possible that when Ma was typed Word suggested the rest in a sort of auto complete function/way.

An easy mistake to make.
