Theres a distinct possibility I am going to be based in the North East for about six months starting reasonably soon. Anyone know how much would it cost me to rent a decent apartment on the marina? also would I want to ?

I think about £450 for new ones, as long as you are away from the main run of pubs etc, its quite nice

Sadly its the Marina or some shitty terraced house off Oxford Road as far as I can see, the rental makret in Hartlepool is pish, thats why I'm staying at my sisters for as long as I can!

better than the marina.

It can't possibly be true, as the father in law owns one or two of them. Browny might own a fair few of them like, I dunno.

Mr I, I seriously looked at flats for rent in the Marina about six months ago. The ones at what I'd call the Seaton end were OK in some cases, very good in a few cases. The ones around the main basin are pretty underwhelming but functional and probably suited to a shag pad. There's a rental office on the end of the block where the Jap restaurant is. One company manages, maintains, and operates the security on the whole of Navigation Point/Knotts Landing and the other, smaller buildings in that area. The rents were 450 furnished for a 2-bedroom. You also get free access to the gym complex FWIW.
You have to find your own shags though. And there is no dedicated parking.
