cracking little piece on the back page basically saying the cash investement is all the flight of fancy of a few clowns on the bunker and they cant believe the sunday sun would be dumb enough to print it cos it isnt true.

excellent journalism from the mail ( though the article isnt signed ) and exactly the sort of necks on the chopping block stuff you expect from a local paper.

if it is all bollox full credit to roy kelly and co for exposing it as a crock of shit.

of course if the cash investment story turned out to be true he would probably have to resign as you cant have a newspaper editor who knows less than his readers.

which im sure wont happen cos the mail has said it wont.

if i was roy kelly ( and im not ) i might be a teeny weeny bit worried that the sunday sun also named some players pools are looking at. and these names didnt come from the internet message boards. because that might suggest that rather than copyand pasting stuff off the bunker the sunday sun actually do have some inside info.

The holmvik rumour first started on the football-rumours website a few weeks ago and has been mentioned on a couple of the message boards.......

Maybe that's why we now have a new fitness coach?

The Mail have printed that?

I'm absolutely convinced the rumours are true now, we're so rich it's unbelievable!!

yes, its a very strange little article, not credited to any of the staff, and unusually sarky for the mail.

it doesnt state anyone who believes the rumour is a fool, but its not far off.

fanciful was one of the words used.

they are pretty adamant there is no cash investment from an outside source in the pipeline.

Define "outside source".

If it's money from another part of the IOR Group Of Companies then is it (if there is anything in the rumour) an "outside source"?

Do they use the word "pipeline" as you have above? That may be a cryptic clue as to it being more oil money from IOR/DNO/LOG etc.

Just read it...... so they asked the club and Pools said "the club won't make any comment about such speculation" So that makes rumours ‘fanciful’. We’ll see then but as you say if anything is in it The Mail might as well just stop covering Pools altogether!

What did they expect the club to say exactly? Also the club haven’t denied it have they? If it was bollocks it would be very simple to quash the rumour.

I love the condescending manner ‘fans internet sites’ are mentioned, rumours do not come from message boards they just appear on them, they come through the same grapevine that they always have (Throston bookies, The Staincliffe, dog walkers, stalking) message boards are just a relatively new way for them to travel.

If we all club together the price of a pint each and send it to them as support for the new season would that be a big enough cash injection to make the mail look a bit thick?

i didnt buy it, i just read it in morrisons.

the impression i got was that they know there's no money coming in ( and that was supported by a comment in another article from turner saying money was tight ).

I also had a look in morrisons at the front too, i stopped reading when it sourced internet messageboards.

there set to look complete idiots then. The deal is not finalised but it's definitely true there is set to be some invesment if it goes ahead.

There's a few people on here confirmed they've heard from inside the club that's what's happening so to report that it's definitely not is ridiculous.

Let's hope we get news of a confirmation soon so we can start buying players.

Pools had better un-tell the players then cause it's been quashed in the Mail. After they were told "exciting times" were ahead they'll be gutted.

i know there are other pools message boards, but they only have about 6 members, and nobody reads them.

They're still decent crack chip, have a look around. Socialise a bit.

So the Mail decided the club making no comment on something (they never comment on anything lets be honest) means the claims are fanciful?

Retards.

I sincerely hope that there's something in it, but words like "not finalised" and "if" don't inspire total confidence. confised
