Are there any good sites to see what my car is worth ?

I'm after selling it and looked on autotrader for a rough idea and it varies a lot, i remember years ago you could buy a book that give you a good idea just wondered if there was any sites ?

By the way its a Jag x type sport diesel 54 plate if anybody wants to buy it

Try that link, should let you do a free glass guide valuation via the vauxhall website.

I'd say try Parkers Car Guide. Pretty decent. Try their website or buy the big book from a local newsagent

They did alright for me last year.

I used the price they quoted for our lass's old motor to get an extra £500 off the garage I was trading it in at.

I've no idea what they're actually like to sell to as I had no intention of doing so.

I've just done a couple of examples on their site, they offer CAP bottom book -10%. Unless your car is an absolute dog then they will be ripping you off big style.

Give me the full spec of the car; mileage, honest condition, year, specific model and I'll run it through CAP.

That's exactly what I thought, which is why I'd only ever sell to them as a last resort, but they are useful for giving you an idea of the rock bottom price that you should accept.

Overall it is a very tidy car, its done 96,000 miles. Its a Jaguar xtype 2.0d sport 54 plate.

Its got alloy wheels, half leather inside.

Its got a couple little marks on the body but nothing bad but the only down side and i dont know if it will reflect on the price is that i bought it as a cat d from the salvage yard and got it fixed, it was only front panel damage (new bumper and bonnet and lights).

I love the car and dont really want rid but i use my van 6 days a week and after our lass has had over 200 lessons and has yet to sit her test (no serious) i cant justify forking out for insurance and tax and test to use it once a week !

Cat D write off... you will get a third of its current list price.

I learnt that today at work. Good eh!!
