can people in this country get any worse - time for a smackhead cleansing programme. Sadly nobody's got the balls to carry it out. If they ever did do one, I'd be first in line to give these wankers the lethal injection

They pleaded guilty to charges of CRUELTY how the feck does that work ?

They gave the child methadone,the child died of methadone poisoning.
How on earth is that not a murder charge or manslaughter at the very least ?

If these people where manufactured products they would be classed as broken/useless and sent back to the maker/manufacturer for a replacement. Sadly, we humans do not have this policy in place.

Sounds like it was a charge of manslaughter but dropped due to a plea bargain.

I'm only guessing here, bu there may have been a question of causation (the report hints at this) so the prosecution may have been happy with the bargain as it saves the expense and uncertainty of a trial. It's a fact of the system that it couldn't cope without plea bargains and everything was taken to trial that deserved it.

I'm on about the moral issue, feeding a kid with methadone is murder, not euthanasia, can't they just hold their hands up and admit they killed the kid?
