The British ambassador to the US in Washington has apparantly bet that he will buy his counterpart in London a steak meal if the USA beat England on Saturday night.

I've heard of these so-called bets involving sport and British diplomats before. One of our government ministers last year bet his counterpart in Australia that we would finish higher in the final medal table at the Beijing Olympics two years ago.

Basically, our diplomats only enter these kinds of friendly wagers if they know one thing: that what they are betting over will not happen.

So as your saying our Diplomat will win the bet, How much are you placing on England, as your virtually saying this is a 100% sure tip, from some diplomat.

I shouldnt think a diplomat will be worried about losing a bet when the stake is only a steak
