It seems the ground is owned by a different coy and the present landlord (Bank of Scotland) wants a profit share on future increased value of the site being that they are looking to sell today at what they see as a reduced price.

As you say, time is ticking but if I can see Palace sharing at the valley for the next 12 months or so which would give them more time to negotiate a price for the ground. Very ironic being that Charlton had to share with Palace only 10 years ago or so.
