They've been doing those scorecards now for a couple of years now, Compo.

It just goes to show how to speed some people are these days.

Alternatively, all you need is a bit of paper and a pen.

Yes, tonight is Semi-Final 1 at 8pm on BBC Three.

Make sure you've done the washing up by then, and then settle down on the sofa with the missus and the kids in front of the TV!

The UK votes in Semi-Final 1 only, Ireland are in Semi-Final 2 and we enter the Contest on Saturday.

Well, as always, Sussex, I'll have my fingers crossed for him, as will the rest of the country I hope.

My only hope is that we get a finish that we deserve.

Well, ultimately with any of the songs that will be in the final, there will be some that you like and some that you won't like so much. Everybody has different tastes. This Contest shows that. Some countries also do better at different things: some have good songwriters, some have excellent singers and some have excellent performers of a song

I will be interested to see how Josh will exactly perform this song.

I'll wait and see what the results of the second semi final are tonight before I make a decision on how well or not I believe we can do in the final. There were a lot of songs that were possible contenders to win before the Contest that failed to qualify on Tuesday. That may help the UK in particular to attain the highest finish that it possibly can. There are also a lot of contenders in tonight's semi-final.

I think one of those contenders from semi-final 1 could be Belgium, so it could be worth keeping an eye on how they do on Saturday. There's also been a lot of talk about the Irish entry from Niamh Kavanagh, who won in 1993.

As for the Chelsea fans, it sounds a bit random for them just for them to go to Norway, doesn't it?

The way some people act in this country every morning after a Contest, it might feel like it does.

No, for all the concern about our results from last decade, we still hold a stunning record:

The United Kingdom: 53 entries, only 2 Contests missed out of 55, FIVE wins, FIFTEEN Second Places, only ONE "nul points" and one joint last position in 53 attempts.

The problem is music moves on whereas Eurovision doesn't. They still sing the same cheesy bollox that they were 50 years ago.
